About Sell Company Records To AI
This site is run by a team that works from the storage contracts, insolvency statutes and buyers' pages it quotes, holds a stored copy of each one, and writes every reply to a records enquiry by hand.
Why it is here
Old company records are what several AI buyers now ask for, but they are usually held by someone else, under charges and notice periods, and sometimes under an office-holder's control. This site sets those steps out before anyone discusses a price.
Who will find it useful
Former directors, finance leads and the administrators, liquidators and trustees of companies whose records are boxed in storage, scanned into archives or held in a records system.
Inside this site
The core is one question, "sell company records to ai", and a quote form that needs no login. Around it sit 7 guides. There is also a citable data table (figures and method) and the pages we read to build it.
- Records storage company terms: ownership, release and fees: What records storage companies such as Access and Iron Mountain, and services such as RecordPoint and Preservica, say about owning stored records and releasing them.
- Can a storage company keep my records? The lien and the notice: When a records storage company may hold or sell stored boxes for unpaid charges: the UCC warehouse lien in the US and the uncollected goods rules in England and Wales.
- Records of a closed company: who holds them and who can sell: Who controls a closed or insolvent company's books and records: an office-holder's powers under the Insolvency Act 1986 and a trustee's under the US Bankruptcy Code.
- Who buys company records for AI, and what they publish: The data partners whose pages ask companies for records, documents and operating history, which take records from closing companies, and the sums some of them publish.
- Can a company sell assets before liquidation? Its records too: Whether a company can sell or license its records before it is wound up, who signs once an office-holder is appointed, and what the storage firm needs first.
- Can I sell my company's records when closing down?: Can I sell my company's records when closing down? Who can sign at each step of a UK closure, what the three-month strike-off rule asks, and who buys.
- Can directors sell company assets after an appointment? The records too: Can directors sell company assets once an administrator or liquidator is appointed? Who decides about the records and data before and after it, in UK law.
What it will not do
- We do not rank or recommend storage firms; each row is the provider's own sentence and our reading of it.
- We never take box lists, scans or record extracts through the form.
- We never contact a storage firm on the board about an enquiry.

No storage firm, records service or buyer pays to be listed and the site has no affiliate links. Each answer is our reading of a published document, not legal advice on any storage contract. If a company licenses or sells its records to a buyer we introduce, it pays us 12.5% of the deal, with a minimum, when we act as its exclusive agent, 10%, with a minimum, when its records join a bundle, or 10% when they join the pool, agreed in writing first; any fee a buyer pays us is set against the company's.
